OFFROAD: This Kit converts any 1972-1993 304, 360, 401 V-8 Jeep/AMC to an ECM controlled throttle body fuel injection system. The remanufactured GM throttle body adapts directly to the four barrel intake manifold, replacing the carburetor. This Kit contains all necessary sensors, wiring harness, ECM, electric fuel pump and runs with the stock Jeep distributor. Great for serious four-wheeling! The ECM installs under the dash. The high pressure fuel pump must be installed in the main fuel line from the gas tank, and bypass fuel returned to the tank. The wiring harness includes a diagnostic connector, and diagnostics are similar to a 1986-92 GM pickup truck.
EMISSIONS LEGAL OFFROAD: This Kit converts a 1972-1993 304, 360, 401 V-8 Jeep/AMC to an ECM controlled TBI fuel injection. The remanufactured GM throttle body adapts directly to the four barrel AMC intake manifold, replacing the carburetor. This kit contains all necessary sensors, wiring harness, ECM, electric fuel pump, (no fuel lines), and runs with a stock AMC distributor. It is Emission Legal in 50 states per CARB E.O. #D452-1 JP V8. The ECM mounts under the dash. The high pressure fuel pump must be installed in main fuel line from tank and bypass fuel returned to the tank. The wiring harness includes a diagnostic connector, and diagnostics are similar to a 1986-92 GM pickup truck.
Specify the type and year of Jeep when ordering your kit. Sam's Offroad has sold and installed hundreds of these kit's without any problems. After installation, most of your old emission plumbing is eliminated and you'll gain better Fuel Economy & Performance.

Your stock air cleaner will not work with the EFI Conversion Kit so we offer 11" K&N Filter, the right size for necessary hood clearance.

Crank Case Ventilation Ring: You will not be able to use your stock air cleaner with the Howell EFI Conversion kit. When removing your old air cleaner on most CJs and YJs you'll notice a hose that hooks into it and then hooks into the back of the valve cover. You will need to retain it so this ring will let you hook up the hose. If it's between the air cleaner and throttle body, We offer the
Valve Cover Recirculation Spacer that fits under the air cleaner and will allow you to reconnect your hose.
